Yasmin Khan, MD, MPH is an academic physician trained in emergency medicine, public health, epidemiology and public health policy, and is based in Toronto, Canada. She is a Consultant Physician in Communicable Diseases, Emergency Preparedness and Response at Public Health Ontario, an Emergency Physician at the University Health Network, and an Assistant Professor in the Division of Emergency Medicine, University of Toronto.  Her research program focuses on health system emergency preparedness and response, and resilience.  Specific areas of current research include performance measurement for public health emergency preparedness, communication strategies for emergencies, and learning during recovery from emergencies and disasters. Dr. Khan's research is transdisciplinary, employs integrated knowledge translation with end users, and embeds consideration for values and equity throughout the research process.
