Julie-Maude Normandin holds a Ph.D. of Public Administration from the École nationale d’administration publique (ENAP). Her research focuses on policies to manage risks and crises, public policy analysis, and the management of complex problems by public administrations. She has published book chapters and scientific articles in journals such as the Journal of Contingencies and Crisis Management, the Journal of Health Organization and Management, and the International Journal of Risk Assessment and Management. Julie-Maude has worked as a lecturer at the ENAP, an advisor with the Québec Auditor General’s Office and the Government of Québec, and as a journalist with Radio-Canada and the newspaper Le Nouvelliste. She was a participant in the Parliamentary internship program in Canada’s House of Commons (2007−2008) and at
the municipal level was a member of the Montréal Youth Council (2010−2012). Julie-Maude received the Social Science and Humanities Research Council’s Joseph-Armand-Frappier Scholarship and Michael-Smith grant for studies abroad, along with the ENAP’s Gérard-Bergeron prize.

Julie-Maude Normandin détient un doctorat en administration publique de l'École nationale d’administration publique (ENAP). Ses recherches portent sur les politiques de gestion des risques et des crises, l’analyse des politiques publiques et la gestion des problèmes complexes par les administrations publiques. Elle a publié des chapitres de livres et des articles scientifiques, notamment dans les journaux Journal of Contingencies and Crisis Management, Journal of Health Organization and Management et International Journal of Risk Assessment and Management. Par le passé, Mme Normandin a travaillé comme chargée de cours à l’ENAP, conseillère au Vérificateur général du Québec ainsi qu’au gouvernement du Québec, et journalise à Radio-Canada et au journal Le Nouvelliste. Elle cumule également des expériences au niveau fédéral comme participante au Programme de stage parlementaire à la Chambre des communes (2007−2008) et au niveau municipal comme membre du Conseil jeunesse de Montréal (2010−2012). Elle a été récipiendaire de la bourse d’étude Joseph-Armand-Bombardier du CRSH, le supplément pour études à l’étranger Michael-Smith du CRSH et le prix Gérard-Bergeron de l’ENAP.
