John is the CTO at NGen, a not-for-profit organization which funds Advanced Manufacturing R&D projects to drive innovation and create jobs in manufacturing across Canada. John joined NGen from the UK where he was responsible for setting the strategies and running some of the UK government’s highest profile R&D programs worth more than $8.5 billion across the automotive, aerospace and intelligent mobility sectors. In 2007, John took on a role at London Underground where his brief was to deliver part of the 2012 London Olympic Games Transport Strategy. He has extensive experience across the automotive sector and spent a number of years at Visteon where he was responsible for program delivery of all powertrain products in Europe to Toyota, Honda and Suzuki customers. He is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Institute of Engineering and Technology.
