James Owen Weatherall is Professor of Logic and Philosophy of Science at the University of California, Irvine, where he is also a member of the Institute for Mathematical Behavioral Science and the Center for Cosmology. His latest book, The Misinformation Age: How False Beliefs Spread, with his wife Cailin O’Connor, was published in January, 2019 by Yale University Press; it was selected as a New York Times Editor's Choice and as suggested reading by Scientific American. His writings on physics, philosophy, finance, and other topics has been published in many newspapers and magazines, including the Financial Times, USA Today, Scientific American, and Slate.
