Briony has an interest in developing and sharing knowledge about the ways people can interact with each other, society and the natural environment to advance global sustainability. In 2011 she completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at McGill University where she conducted research into how environment-related science moves into public policy and the outcomes that emerge in Westminster-based jurisdictions (provincial and federal) including Canada, Australia and the UK. Briony has diverse cross-sectorial experience and has held environmental regulation and policy positions with the Northern Territory and Western Australian governments (Australia) and worked as a private environmental consultant and natural landscape designer. She is currently developing collaborative ecological and social impact programs with an international non-profit dedicated to facilitating the global reforestation movement. Briony holds a B.Sc. (Honours) Natural Resource Management (2001) and a Ph.D. Forest Restoration Ecology (2008) University of Western Australia.
