Aimee is a Policy Officer and Mitacs Canadian Science Policy Fellow working as the lead writer and co-developer of the quantum S&T strategy for the Department of Defence. Beyond the theoretical, Aimee also acts in implementing and enabling quantum activities at the Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC) as a project coordinator. Aimee has over eight years' experience communicating quantum and optical science whether it be to families or policymakers. Aimee has PhD (Quantum Information) in experimental quantum optics from the Institute for Quantum Computing at the University of Waterloo. Her research encompassed: nonlinear optics, biological imaging, quantum photonics, and ultrafast laser science.
